Fundraising account set up for family after father’s death
The Elk Valley community is rallying for a local family mourning the loss of a young father.
A gofundme account has been established in the memory of Sparwood resident Dustin Nimegeers, with a tremendous response from the community.
“Our family lost a great man. Dustin was struggling with long haul Covid and he has lost his battle at the young age of 34,” explained fundraiser organizer Kelly Jenks.
“For the last 15 years we have watched him grow into an amazing husband, father and man! We will cherish all the amazing memories! He was a devoted husband and father. He never hesitated to help anyone in need. He was and is greatly loved.
“As Kayla tries to navigate this world without her life partner please keep her and Sawyer in your prayers. Due to Dustin having long haul Covid he was recently denied life insurance on their mortgage. These funds will help Kayla with managing the loss of income while she grieves and adjusts to a one income household,” Jenks explained.
This account is set up for funds to go directly to Kayla.
