Legion Poppy Campaign officially starts
The Remembrance Day Poppy Campaign has officially started with Irene Mills, President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 81, pinning a poppy on District of Sparwood Mayor David Wilks.
Poppy sales will begin throughout the community and region on Friday, October 31.
Sparwood’s Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place at the Cenotaph at 11 a.m. on November 11.
