Man pleads guilty to impaired driving causing death
A Sparwood man August 21 pleaded guilty in Cranbrook Provincial Court to one count of impaired driving causing death (Section 255(3) of the Criminal Code) for a 2015 incident that took the life of another Sparwood man.
On April 21, 2015, Cory Elphage Landry, 21, was killed in a collision on Highway 43 near Sparwood with Kody William Tanner, who was charged following the incident.
Tanner will be sentenced on Nov. 20 and has been released on an undertaking to not occupy then driver’s seat of any motor vehicle, reported Sgt. DG Erichsen of the RCMP’s East Kootenay Traffic Services.
