The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) is inviting residents to attend the grand opening of Waldo Cove Park and the Columbia River Heritage Touring Centre on Wednesday, August 20.

Come explore this stop on the Columbia River Treaty Uncovery Tour, which is a heritage touring route linking a series of commemorative elements that will conserve, honour, and convey the Ktunaxa and non-Indigenous stories of loss and resilience as valleys behind the Treaty dams filled with water and surrounding ecosystems struggled to adapt.

Light refreshments will be provided, starting at 1 p.m. August 20.
