Free Workplace Road Safety Workshops

Road Safety At Work, an initiative managed by the Justice Institute of BC and funded by WorkSafeBC, is bringing free Workplace Road Safety Workshops to Cranbrook.

The hands-on workshops are intended for owners of large and small companies, managers, supervisors, health and safety practitioners, OHS committee members and others who are responsible for developing programs to keep employees safe on the road.

Upcoming Workplace Road Safety Workshops:

April 19 – 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

College of the Rockies

S117 – 2700 College Way, Cranbrook

Focus: Introducing Road Safety Tools and Resources for Your Workplace.

Participants will develop or improve an occupational road safety program that fits their workplace and follows best-practices; learn a process to identify hazards and assess risks, how to develop strategies, and use the tools and resources on the RoadSafetyAtWork.ca website to address the unique road safety issues and needs facing their organization.

April 20 – 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

College of the Rockies

S117 – 2700 College Way, Cranbrook

Focus: Building a Stronger Road Safety Culture.

Learn what safety culture is and how it influences safety performance. Participants engage in practical activities to learn what they can do to build a more robust road safety culture in their organization. CEOs to individual drivers can contribute to a safety “fabric” that prevents motor vehicle crashes and associated losses.

The workshops are free but space is limited.
