Highway 93 closed again due to avalanche worry
High avalanche hazard has again forced the closure of Highway 93 between Radium Hot Springs and the junction of Highway 1.
DriveBC reports an assessment is in progress a detour is available from Radium via Highway 95 to Golden to access Highway 1.
However, if you opt to take the longer route, be aware that DriveBC is also reporting ‘debris on the road’ on Highway 1, with fallen Rock on the road five km east of Golden.
