City of Kimberley reports parking ticket scam afoot
The City of Kimberley reports it has been notified that some residents have received text messages claiming they have an outstanding parking ticket and must click a link to pay or face further fines.
This message is not from the City of Kimberley.
“The city will never send text messages regarding outstanding fines or request payment through a link. If you receive this text, please do not click the link and delete the message immediately,” the city directed.
“If you have outstanding fines, City Bylaw will notify you by mail only.”
