Dynamiter duo KIJHL Stars of the Week
The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) is pleased to announce its Stars of the Week for the period ending April 5.
Defence – Johnny Lozeman – Kimberley Dynamiters
The Banff, Alta., native collected two assists, including setting up the winning goal in Game 1 against the Beaver Valley Nitehawks. Lozeman played an average of 20:06 a game and had a +5 rating.
Goalie – Adam Kisilevich – Kimberley Dynamiters
The Edmonton native stopped 58 of 62 shots to help lead the Dynamiters to a 2-0 series lead on the Nitehawks. Kisilevich had a 2.00 goals against average with a .935 save percentage. Kisilevich stopped 33 of 34 shots in Game 1.
Forward – Jace Shuttleworth – Princeton Posse
The Penticton native played an important role in the Posse taking a 2-0 series lead on the Williams Lake Mustangs with a goal and five points. Shuttleworth set up both winning goals and was +3. The third-year forward is eighth in the KIJHL with 16 points in 16 playoff games.
