Did you know your waste collection cart may not be emptied if it’s not placed correctly at the curb?

On waste collection day in the City of Kimberley, between 5 and 7 a.m., please remember to:

• Place carts on the roadway with wheels against the curb or near the edge of the road (not on the sidewalk or boulevard);
• Leave one metre (three to four feet) of space between carts;
• Make sure all lids are fully closed.

The carts pictured are placed too close together. Proper cart placement allows the collection truck’s automated arm to safely empty carts without damaging property.

Unfortunately, carts that aren’t placed properly can’t be emptied.
