Kimberley begins 2026–2030 financial planning process

The City of Kimberley announced today it has officially launched its 2026–2030 Five-Year Financial Plan and Budget 2026 approval process.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Krista Waite is leading a series of budget meetings that will shape Kimberley’s financial strategy for the next five years. These sessions provide opportunities for council and the public to explore priorities, review proposed projects, and help guide the future of our community.

The first presentation will offer an overview of the city’s revenue policy, outlining the primary revenue sources and setting the stage for upcoming discussions on capital and non-capital projects. This meeting takes place on Monday, November 17, at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Residents can attend in person, watch the meeting live on YouTube (@cityofkimberleybc) or head to the same page to view the playback anytime afterward.

Public consultation is now open. The public is invited to participate through EngageKimberley.ca, where they can watch budget presentations, review supporting documents, and share questions or feedback.

The city is committed to keeping the public informed and learning from your input throughout this process.

“Your input matters”, said city chief financial officer Krista Waite. “Meaningful public engagement leads to better decisions and ensures the financial plan reflects community priorities, supporting a resilient and inclusive future. We look forward to hearing from you.”
