Kimberley Farmers’ Market returns June 19
The Kimberley Farmers’ Market will launch its 11th season on Thursday, June 19, running weekly from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Howard Street.
A summer staple in the community, the Market continues to support local growers, artisans, and small businesses while creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere downtown.
Returning this year, the Market will welcome back businesses within a 15-kilometre radius of the market grounds to participate as vendors. This exciting change expands access to locally made, baked, or grown goods and offers new opportunities for nearby businesses to get involved.
New for 2025 is a seating and social space, designed to host casual community activities such as craft demos, workshops, or informal talks. Local businesses and community groups are invited to animate the space with donation-based events like pot painting, fly tying, knitting circles, or sustainability discussions. All ideas will be considered and encouraged.
Organizers are hoping for some spirited participation to help shine a spotlight on the region’s diverse community and talent.
Market Coordinator Sparta Humphreys is pleased to confirm the return of the BC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Coupon Program, which helps increase access to healthy local food for low-income families, seniors, elders and pregnant women.
As part of the BC Farmers’ Market Trail, the Kimberley Market is recognized as a must-visit destination for food lovers and visitors alike. Live music, free bike valet, and weekly kids’ activities round out the experience.
Vendor spaces are filling quickly with 27 vendors currently confirmed. For those interested in selling at the popular weekly market, it is a venue for small-scale farmers and specialty food producers, along with other creative makers and artisans to promote and peddle their locally made, baked and grown wares. One-day bookings are welcome, and no upfront commitment is required.
