Kimberley Pipe Band celebrates 90 years
The Kimberley Pipe Band celebrated its 90th birthday July 14 and 15 with a Tattoo Weekend.
A free concert in the Platzl on Friday morning with the Cowichan Pipe Band and BC Regimental Band started things off.
On Saturday morning, Kimberley Rotary hosted a pancake breakfast before the the Parade of Bands from Centre 64 to the Kimberley Civic Centre (pictured here).
The evening’s entertainment included a Kimberley Community Band performance and then the Tattoo Performance, a two-hour show of music, pipes, drums and dancing.
A Ceilah with the Johnny McCuaig Band topped the event off.
