Man arrested after assault in Marysville

On June 1, Kimberley RCMP received a report of a possible assault in a vehicle near the Bootleg Gap Golf Course in Marysville where the suspect had fled into the nearby woods.

The Cranbrook Police Dog Section attended the scene and after several hours a suspect was taken into custody without incident. That suspect, a 37-year-old male is facing several criminal charges and was released to appear in court at a later date.

Kimberley RCMP would like to thank the public and in particular staff at the Bootleg Gap Golf course for their assistance throughout this investigation, said Sgt. Steve Woodcox, Detachment commander.
