McGinty Lake FireSmart event Saturday
The McGinty Lake FireSmart Group and Meadowbrook Community Association, in collaboration with the East Kootenay FireSmart Program, invite all Meadowbrook residents to participate in an educational, fun-filled day at McGinty Lake this Saturday, October 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bring your family and friends to learn more about how you can prepare your home and property in case of wildfire.
The day will include:
FireSmart Education;
Campfire building with s’mores and a burn demonstration;
Meet Ember the FireSmart Fox;
Face painting & games;
Information on Living Lakes Canada;
Learn about the evolution of McGinty Lake from a local archeologist;
Refreshments provided.
