Nitros capture another division title
The Kimberley Dynamiters last night (March 12) captured another Eddie Mountain Division title by downing the plucky, never-say-die Columbia Valley Rockies 5-2 and sealing the series four games to one.
The Dynamiters move on in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoffs to face the Nelson Leafs, which knocked off the Castlegar Rebels four games to one in the Neil Murdoch Division final.
The winner of the Kootenay Conference final play for the league championship against the winner of the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference.
The Nitros and Leafs open play Friday, March 16 at the Kimberley Civic Centre, with game two Saturday, March 17. Game times are 7:30 p.m.
Games three and four are in Nelson on Monday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 20 – both games begin at 7 p.m. local time.
Games five to seven, if necessary: Thursday, March 22 in Kimberley, 7:30 p.m.; Friday, March 23 at nelson – 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 25 in Kimberley at 4 p.m.
