House Numbers
House numbers are not only convenient for finding addresses but are necessary for emergency responders to locate those in need. When responding to an emergency, minutes matter so be sure that house numbers are visible and easy to read from the street.
Did you know the city has a bylaw regarding house numbers? The “Kimberley House Numbering Bylaw, 1981” states that placing house numbers is the responsibility of the homeowner, numbers should be three inches in height and visible from the street. To view the full bylaw, please visit our website.
Catch Basins
The city is asking for the public’s help keeping debris off the catch basins. Please report any blocked catch basins to the Operations Department at 250-427-9660 or [email protected].
City crews fix potholes on a regular basis, fitting the work in between other duties. You can help by reporting potholes so we can add them to our list. Be sure to take note of the street address or crossroads nearest the pothole and report it to the Operations Department by emailing [email protected] or by calling 250-427-9660.
Garbage Pickup
The city would like to remind residents that garbage should be set out by 7 a.m. for pickup, but not before 5 a.m. on your scheduled garbage collection day. If your garbage is not out by 7 a.m. the city cannot guarantee pickup. Refer to the city’s website for information about scheduling changes due to statutory holidays.
