It is with deep sorrow that the family of announces that Marguerite Helene Lafaut passed away peacefully on August 28, 2012 at age 99 years of age in Kimberley, British Columbia.
Marguerite immigrated to Canada from Belgium with her husband and eight of her ten children in 1957. Left to mourn her passing are Nestor (Elizabeth) Lafaut of Cranbrook; Georgette Lafaut-Hackx of, Belgium; Bernadette Vanderhaeghe of Kimberley; Emmanuel
(Theresa) Lafaut of Richmond; Mariette (Victor) Lafaut of Kimberley; Lionel (Pauline)
Lafaut of Quebec; Bernard (Valerie) Lafaut of Kimberley; Gerard (Lois) Lafaut of
Kimberley; Christine Lafaut/Derumeaux of Belgium; Lyliane (Dave) of White Rock; as well as 23 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Alphonse Lafaut; her granddaughter Erica Nelson; her 3 son-in-laws Valere Vanderhaeghe, Johnny Derumeaux and Siegfried Hackx.
A viewing for Marguerite will take place Monday, September 10th, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley. Her funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Kimberley.
