Mary passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Kimberley Special Care Home (The Pines) at 99 years of age.
Mary was born May 25, 1913 in Athabasca, Alberta to Joe and Katie Bird and was raised in Fort McMurray. Mary came to Kimberley with her husband Bob in 1942. She was predeceased by Bob and her daughter Teresa. She is survived by her daughters; Dawn (John) McMaster of Calgary, Alberta, Lynn (Jack) Poole of Kimberley and son Dennis of Airdrie, Alberta. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
There will be no service by Mary’s request.
There will be a family gathering at a later date to celebrate Mom’s nine lives.
