Please be proactive as spring thaw arrives
City of Kimberley Public Works crews have been out thawing and clearing catch basins in the community to ensure water flows are collected at the appropriate locations.
If you notice a clogged or frozen catch basin contact City Hall at the Operations desk, 250-427-9669 or [email protected].
You may also assist by keeping the catch basins clear of leaves, slush, and ice at locations near your home if safe to do so.
To help prevent water accumulation on roadways and sidewalks, we are asking you to be proactive and assist the city with clearing catch basins in your neighbourhood.
Catch basins are an important and critical infrastructure for collecting water from properties and streets and transporting it safely to local waterways. Assisting with keeping this infrastructure performing well when it is needed the most is appreciated.
