RCMP investigating after dog shot near Kimberley
Kimberley RCMP is investigating after a dog was shot while being run on Houle Creek Forest Service Road.
On November 27, at approximately 1 p.m., a Kimberley man was taking his dog for a walk along Houle Creek Forest Service Road, just east of Kimberley. The owner was driving his vehicle alongside his dog when he heard a gunshot and the dog came running towards him bleeding from the face.
“The owner rushed the dog to Cranbrook for emergency surgery. We are thankful to report that the dog survived,” reported Sgt. Steve Woodcox, Kimberley RCMP Detachment commander.
Kimberley RCMP are looking for any witnesses who saw or heard anything relating to this incident.
