To help reduce the risk of wildfires, the City of Kimberley will be burning slash piles in the Duck Pond area on Monday, November 24, if weather permits.

The exact dates of the activity will depend on weather.

The city will be burning under the Division 2 exemptions and will be using a custom ventilation index for the area.

Fire Services will only be burning if the vent index is Fair or better. If residents notice any smoke in their area they should close their windows.
