Cultural Internship training available

The Ktunaxa Nation (KNC) Traditional Knowledge and Language Sector, the Economic and Investment Sector and St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino are pleased to announce the opportunity for Ktunaxa Nation citizens to participate in Cultural Internship training in preparation for the upcoming Ktunaxa Tipi Camp at St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino.

The four-day training program, August 11 – 14, will provide participants with the opportunity to construct tipis, gain cultural and historical knowledge, and learn facilitation and customer service skills. Applications for the cultural internship positions will be accepted until July 28.

Following the completion of the Cultural Internship training up to four successful participants will be hired by KNC Traditional Knowledge and Language for the Ktunaxa Tipi Camp. The revenue generated from the Ktunaxa Tipi Camp will support future Traditional Knowledge and Language activities.

This initiative is made possible through the cooperative efforts of the KNC Traditional Knowledge and Language, Economic and Investment, and Education and Employment Sectors with financial support provided through the Rural Dividend Fund.

For more information regarding the Cultural Internship training please contact Jared Tenesse at 250-429-2464 ext. 3099.
