Ktunaxa Citizens’ Excellence Awards introduced

The Ktunaxa Citizens’ Excellence Awards Program is introducing two exciting new initiatives for citizens of the Ktunaxa Nation, celebrating making a difference through initiative, self–improvement, creativity and leadership development.

The 2018 Ktunaxa Citizens’ Recognition Awards will be presented to Ktunaxa Citizens or Ktunaxa groups. A Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded to someone or to a group who, during their lifetime, has shown dedication and commitment to the Ktunaxa Nation.

The 2018 Ktunaxa Citizens’ Excellence Program will lead the way to enhance Ktunaxa First Nation communities and people through contributions that will be of benefit socially, culturally, healthfully, and economically.

Created by the Ktunaxa Nation for the Ktunaxa people, the Ktunaxa Citizens’ Excellence Program is independent and is governed by a committee composed of Ktunaxa citizens.

The program will contribute to eligible applicants in the areas like: Sports & Recreation; Education & Training; Health & Fitness; Arts & Culture; Traditional Knowledge & Language

All Ktunaxa citizens or Ktunaxa citizens’ groups are eligible for nomination or application to the Excellence Program. The process for nominations and applications will be announced soon.

We invite your valuable comments and suggestions about these new programs. Please send your feedback before September 7, 2018 to: Glenda Montgomery at [email protected] or jot down your ideas and mail or drop off to:
