Sam Steele adding multi-media event this year

Local performing artists take note

The Fisher Peak Performing Artists Society is delighted to have been chosen to partner with the Sam Steele Society to produce the Community Showcases during Sam Steele Days on June 17 and 18 in Cranbrook.

This year is special as, in association with the Canada 150 Project, the theme will focus on all things Canadian in honour of our 150 years of Confederation. ‘This is Me, This is We, Strong, Proud, Free – a real expression of Canadian Pride.’

The Fisher Peak Performing Artists is calling on our vast array of local talent to join us for two days of Canadiana

We are working with Genex Marketing, Cranbrook Arts and Cranbrook Community Theatre to bring the public a multi-media production over two days at Balment Park. Performers are going to go all out and include either an original piece that focuses on the Canadian Story, A le Francais or a First Nations Component to the festivities.

There will be near by other events that Sam Steele Days has become famous for: Bocce, the Strong Man Competition and Food Vendors galore, just to name a few.

Many more details will come forward from the Sam Steele Society on the other special events this year. Stay tuned.
