Spring street sweeping operations underway
The task of clearing our streets of sand and other winter debris has begun with the City of Cranbrook’s spring street sweeping program now in operation. Sweepers are working along the highway this week and expect to move on to Victoria Avenue starting next week.
Motorists are asked to please slow down around any street sweeping equipment and their operators and give the equipment space as you drive by. Sweepers will continue into different areas of the city over the next few months and are expected to be finished by early June.
Residents who park their vehicles on the street, especially in residential areas, are asked to please watch for sweepers in their neighbourhoods. Please do your best to move vehicles off the street wherever possible to allow for easier street cleaning.
