Winter snow winter yada – but take heart

Yes, it is true. You have awoken, again, to a fresh blanket of snow covering your world. And yes, it is true that it is STILL snowing.
But take heart oh East Kootenay souls sick and tired of winter – it appears there may be a slip coming in Old Man Winter’s grip.
According to Environment Canada, the clouds will begin to part in the southeastern corner of the province on Sunday (March 12) and temperatures will rise well past seasonal averages starting Monday, March 13, with highs ranging from 8 to 14 C leading to next Thursday (March 16).

DriveBC is currently reporting East Kootenay highways as snow covered with some slippery sections.
