Daffodil Dash Cranbrook runs Saturday
Saturday, April 29 is shaping up to be a fine day for run and walk in Cranbrook, as the Daffodil Dash gets underway at McKinnon Park.
Environment Canada forecasts a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 14 C – a soothing climate for the five and 10 km family run / walk in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and breast cancer research.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. onsite and things get rolling at 11 a.m. and concludes around 3 p.m., at McKinnon Park – 6th to 8th Ave and 18th St N (between Hot Shots and Save-On Foods, one street parallel to Victoria Ave.).
The event route follows Rotary Trail in Cranbrook. A water station will be located at the half way mark. Volunteers will be manning road crossings and those bringing dogs are asked to keep them on leashes. A barbecue will follow.
