Free workouts at Tanglefoot for National Health and Fitness Day
Tanglefoot Training Centre in Kimberley is opening its doors for free this Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., in association with National Health and Fitness Day in Canada.
All residents and visitors are invited to come in for a free cardio or weight training workout, or try out the new wireless EcoFit system, the Versa Climber, the Reformer, or learn how to use our strength and stability equipment.
We are also offering two free fitness classes, a Step Circuit at 9:15 a.m. and a Turbo Kick at 11 a.m. Staff and Instructors will also be available to answer your questions and help you on your path to greater health and fitness!
National Health and Fitness Day is a special event supported by the Fitness Industry Council of Canada (FIC) to promote a Private Members Bill introduced by MP John Weston of West Vancouver in 2012.
If approved, local governments nationwide will recognize the first Saturday in June as National Health and Fitness Day (NHFD), a day where all health, recreation, sports and fitness facilities are accessible to Canadians at a reduced rate, or free of charge. A website called www.gympass.ca was created to list all the facilities participating.
Tanglefoot is happy to be a part of this event to help promote fitness and active living and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday, June 7.
