ICE front and centre on Jersey Day
It is commonly stated that a provincial government riding always benefits when its Member of the Legislature Assembly (MLA) becomes a cabinet minister.
The reasons are many and here is a sample of one of them.
Kootenay East MLA Bill Bennett, who is also Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development, celebrated Jersey Day on Sept. 28.
What jersey did the province’s sports ministry head opt to wear? The Kootenay ICE, of course.
Above: Bennett and MLA Donna Barnett show off their jerseys with Union of B.C. Municipalities (UBCM) delegates during a walk around Victoria’s inner harbour on Jersey Day, September 28.
Jersey Day is a national day used to show community and team support and help ramp up community spirit before Sports Day in Canada.
