ICE training camp approaches
The Kootenay ICE will open their 2015/16 Western Hockey League training camp Monday, August 31.
This year’s training camp will once again feature rookie-aged players (players born in 2000), with veteran players (players born in 1995 to 1999). All on-ice sessions will take place at Western Financial Place.
“Training Camp brings a sense of excitement and anticipation and this season is no exception. Given the turnover on our roster from last season, there are a number of spots available with our club and because of this we expect a high level of intensity as we evaluate the development of both our new and returning players,” commented ICE Director of Scouting Garnet Kazuik.
A total of 66 players (six goaltenders, 25 defensemen and 35 forwards) are expected to participate in Training Camp, including 16 veteran players.
All training camp on-ice sessions will be open to the public.

Tuesday, September 1

Team Blue vs. Team White 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Goaltenders Session 1 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Wednesday, September 2
