Kimberley Golf Club juniors lighting it up
Kimberley’s own Julia Dereniwsky played in the 2014 British Columbia Junior Girls Championship held at the Dunes Golf Club in Kamloops July 1-4.
With rounds of 74-73-74 and 75 Julia claimed the seventh place position. Her first top 10 in a Major.
Julia’s next event will be the B.C Womens Championship being held at the Kamloops G&CC.
The Kimberley Golf Club Junior is off to Texas later this summer to attend the University of Texas A&M, Corpus Christi.
In other Junior News: Justin Sawley and Evan Gresty participated in the BC Junior Boys Championship last week at Pitt Meadows. We all remember that the 2013 Champion is Kimberley’s own Jared du Toit.
Russell du Toit, Zach Singer and Jared du Toit will be representing the KGC in the British Columbia Amatuer at the Seymour Golf & CC in North Vancouver.
Kira Dereniwsky, Alshya Buchy, Justin Sawley and Nathan Nichol will be representing Zone 1 in the BC Summer Games being held in Nanaimo this summer.
