Kimberley Nordic Centre open for skiing
By Chris Newel
The Kimberley Nordic Centre is open for skiing.
Although some more snow is needed, the trails have been groomed and are in good early season conditions. All the lower trails were groomed Nov. 20 and are in great shape considering the lack of snow.
The Nordic centre is more than just trails; it features a lodge that always has a fire going for the after-ski socializing. The little wax hut is a great little place to hang out, wax your skis and enjoy the wood stove.
Everything you need is here. You can even rent a locker and leave your ski gear on site.
There are a number of ski programs from the young Jackrabbits up to the Masters program (for the slightly older crowd).
For further information follow the Facebook page or check out the website which has up-to-date trail conditions.
