Lakeside Hang Gliding and Paragliding Event Aug. 8
The 39th annual Lakeside Hang Gliding and Paragliding Event is taking place August 8.
Watch aerobatic pilots do incredible tricks. It’s a day packed full of fun, action and excitement and all you have to do is relax on the beach!
Sit back and watch over 60 pilots turn the skies of Invermere into a bright display of colourful paragliders and hang gliders. At the same time paragliders and hang gliders will be flying from Mount Swansea and trying to cross the lake.
As they approach the lake’s edge they will attempt to target land into an inner tube in the lake.
So pack the swimsuits, a picnic, and the kids and head on down to Invermere’s James Chabot Provincial Park Beach for this highly entertaining family event.
The event runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
