Magic Line Snowfest Feb. 22 in Kimberley

Snowshoers be ready!

The Kimberley Orienteering Club is hosting the Magic Line Snowfest on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Kimberley Nordic Centre.

UntitledThe Magic Line Snowfest follows a fixed route along the recently completed Magic Line Trail, at the Kimberley Nordic Centre. There are two course lengths to choose from each offering it’s own set of challenges. Parts of the route will be well packed while other portions will have been tracked but not packed ensuring that snowshoes are a must, organizers report.

The two courses include a three kilometre family-friendly route (Half Magic) that begins at the Nordic Centre, proceeds over K2 Hill and returns along Meadow Trail. And for those seeking a physical challenge, with three climbs included over K2, Cardiac Arrest and Moe’s Ridge, there is the seven km Full Magic route.

Late registration and check-in begins at 9 a.m. and the race gets underway at 10 a.m.
