Rotary helps young curlers head to nationals
The Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary Community Grants Committee was very happy to present Kootenay Team Reynolds with a cheque for $750 to help with transportation costs for their trip to the U18 National Curling Competition in Timmins, Ontario Feb. 8-14.
Kootenays Team Reynolds consists of Matthew Reynolds (Wasa), Sam Carson (Fernie), Jasper Tersmette (Kimberley), Kyle Scott (Kimberley), Julian Arndt (Cranbrook), along with their coaches Blair Jarvis and Steve Tersmette; they became B.C. provincial champions in December, earning them the right to represent B.C. at the national level.
We’re proud of all their achievements to date and wish them “Good Curling” at the Nationals. We’ll be cheering them on from “home” and hope that they have the most amazing experience at the Nationals.
