Second annual Wildhorse Rails to Trails Poker Run
The Wildhorse Cycling Club will be holding its second annual Poker Run on the Northstar Trail September 9.
The event will start at the Cranbrook Rails to Trails parking lot behind Aaslund Taxidermy at 10 a.m. Look for the Wildhorse signs. Participants pedal at their own pace along the trail collecting five cards to make a poker hand. The course will begin from the parking lot turning around at the St. Mary’s River bridge.
Last year the event was well attended with tons of prizes for participants and a silent auction, with some great items up for bid. This year a free ‘Go Fish’ route for kids ages two to seven has been be added. This is a great event for families!
This is one of the largest events for Wildhorse Cycling Club. As the club is ending its first year we want to thank everyone who has helped support the club. From all the volunteers, generous local businesses, and participants it has been a great year. Your support has allowed us to have some projects in the works for the near future. Hope to see you out on the trails. For further information about the club please visit bikewildhorse.ca.
