17th annual Open Garden Day

The Cranbrook Garden Club’s 17th annual Open Garden Day was once again blessed with perfect summer weather, Sunday, July 7.

Seven city gardens were featured in the tour, held between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Gardens included in the tour were: Karen and Dale Fletcher’s, at 1713-2nd Street S; Margaret and Robert Parnell’s at 2201-snd Street S; Cathryn Henley’s and Neil Kraft’s at 805-29th Avenue S; Katy and Don Fedorchuk’s at 1373 Southview Drive; Janina Czerniecki’s and Gordon Hillier’s at 609-29th Avenue NW; Rick and Brenda Metheral’s at 7277 Highway 3/95 (at the north end of Moyie Lake); and the bonus garden was the Cranbrook Food Action Committee’s Public Produce Garden at Mackinnon Park.

Along with the gardens to tour, the Anglican Church Women hosted a garden day luncheon at Christ Church Anglican.
