The Columbia Valley is one of British Columbia’s tourism jewels.

With endless ‘in-your-face’ beauty in every direction, world-famous attractions, four-season recreational abundance and an accomplished tourism sector, the valley is still an amazing place for getaways and escapes.

This fact was delivered to 50 journalists from across Alberta and B.C. last weekend (May 31-June 2) by a joint effort of valley tourism operators and hosted by Columbia Valley Tourism.

Travel writers and photographers were treated to a wide range of classic valley activities, including golf at some of Canada’s finest courses, white water rafting, hiking, nature info tours, soaks in hot springs and much more, with some of the valley’s finest accommodations being made available.

A Saturday evening gathering at Copper Point Resort allowed the gathering of journalists and a cross-section of Columbia Valley Tourism members and business owners to mingle and share info on the communities.
