Cranbrook senior hikes to Machu Picchu
Most people opt to drive a block to the store to pick up a jug of milk, rather than walk.
You likely won’t be able to consider Cranbrook resident Kate Fox in that category.
Last week Kate completed the arduous Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu, the famous 15th Century Incan heritage site located at 7,970 feet above sea level in Peru’s Cusco region.
“It was a huge struggle and I really do not recommend it to anyone over the great 70. But I’m so happy with my achievements. I would do it again,” she related in an email home.
