December in the East Kootenay

One moment it was November 30 and the Grey Cup hangover was finally subsiding and the next thing it was Christmas.

Flash – that was December 2015.

I’m surprised I managed to press a shutter or eye an image.

Any rate – a busy year ended with a slender package of images as to how we saw life trundle past in the East Kootenay.

Apparently snow played a part. Images are from: Cranbrook and area; Kimberley and area; Fernie; and Sparwood.

Lead image: Sparwood and Elkford area residents no longer have to travel to Fernie or Crowsnest Pass for a Timmy fix. The Sparwood Tim Hortons opened December 11. Employing more than 30 people, the Highway 3 and 43 junction-located business is now open 24-hours.
