Gagnes bring Logger Sports to Sam Steele Days
Normand Gagne and his son Gerald, of Canal Flats, have been thrilling people in this region and far beyond with their logger sport skills for decades, when they’re not competing in logger sports competitions around the continent.
The duo, along with younger generations of Gagnes, were back in Cranbrook June 16 to present their humour and thrilling show, complete with feet-defying chopping races, chainsaw and bucksaw races, ax throwing and the always exciting springboard chop – all presented with down-to-earth flair and good humour.
The show was sponsored by the Cranbrook Business Association and High Country Sports and held in front of the downtown business.
