Hot pools staying closed a few more days
Radium Hot Springs’ largest tourist attraction in Kootenay National Park will remain closed for a few days longer than anticipated, in order to complete upgrade work.
“Due to the cool and rainy weather over the past 10 days, the hot pool needs a few more days to cure the new paint. Therefore, the hot pool will remain closed until the morning of Tuesday, May 8, weather permitting. We do hope to have the hot pool filled by then. Should the weather be uncooperative over the next few days, we will have to re-evaluate the opening date again,” stated Steve Pratt facility manager.
During this maintenance closure the hot springs water is being redirected into the cool pool (pictured above), so patrons can still enjoy the hot water!
