The Stanley Glacier trail in Kootenay National Park (KNP) will be closed from July 16 to August 31 to facilitate a bridge replacement.

Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the area will be closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent, Lake Louise, Yoho and Kootenay national parks.

The trail will be closed to the public during construction, which is anticipated to be complete by August 31.

The Stanley Glacier day use area washrooms will remain open for public use during construction with the south half of the parking lot being available to the public.
