October in the East Kootenay ‘13

October is the one of the best months of the year, in the East Kootenay, in which to play with a camera whilst immersed in breathtaking scenery.

The lush light and rapidly changing colours can make for breathtaking shooting opportunities.

This past October was truly rewarding.

I had the luck of the Irish in October on three gorgeous shoots in the Columbia Valley, Elk Valley and Kimberley and made the most of a ramble up Bull River drainage to begin the month.

Images in this month’s feature include: Lost Dog Ridge Road/Cherry Creek/Meadowbrook area; Aq’am; Brisco; Bull River drainage; Cranbrook and area; Elk Valley; Elkford; Fernie; Invermere and Kimberley/Marysville.
