Sam Steele Days 2012 in pictures
Cranbrook’s Sam Steele Days 2012 celebration was everything one has come to expect of this wild and wonderful weekend.
The June 14 to 17 kick-off to summer had a bit of everything, weather-wise, from brilliant, beautiful sunshine to raucous rumbling skies – a perfect contrast to the range of events being held around the city.
From downtown pancake breakfasts, to the Sam Steele Sweethearts Pageant at Key City Theatre, to the annual downtown parade and festivities at Rotary Park on Saturday and Sunday, including the Strongman Competition, a Cupcake Eating Contest, wiener dogs, A Taste of Cranbrook, cycling demos, Family Picnic in the Park, non-stop entertainment to the sports tournaments at Moir Park and the Kinsmen Quads – Cranbrook was a bustling beehive of family fun.
The following is a photographic tour through Sam Steele Days. Please click on the images to enlarge and to begin a self-directed slide show.
