Visitor Appreciation Day this weekend
The 26th annual Valley Appreciation Day is around the corner and we are looking forward to a fun-filled family event focusing on appreciation for all the wonderful things our beautiful valley has to offer.
This popular celebration will be held on Saturday, July 20 as part of the Summerlude event which starts off with the Pynestock music festival, Bull Riding in the Rockies, and finally Valley Appreciation Day.
Valley Appreciation Day was originally created as a thank you to all the visitors who come here and support our businesses. Over the years VAD has evolved into a celebration of the Columbia Valley lifestyle. It has also taken on a strong trade show character, giving businesses that are not on 7th Avenue in Invermere an opportunity to showcase their products and services.
The downtown Invermere festival will host the service clubs complimentary pancake breakfast, Gagne Family logging show, a stage show, cart races and live entertainment. Incorporated into the event will be a market offering a variety of goods that cannot be found at the Farmer’s Market as well as children’s activities and interactive games.
The valley is so fortunate to have the support of the community and businesses such as yours for these much-anticipated events, for you provide the foundation to continue these annual, recognized and worthwhile celebrations. Thank you!
It’s a great time to get involved with VAD as we anticipate 3,000 people to attend!
