What’s Up – Arrowleaf Balsamroot
Balsamroot grows on the dry open hills and rocky slopes in the south west portion of Kootenay National Park. The plant doesn’t last long; once the flowers wither the leaves will fade making it hard to find any evidence of the plant. Deer, elk, and bighorn sheep all graze this plant.
