Attending to our elder dog’s emotional needs

carolgordonBy Carol Gordon

For a number of months now I have been the caregiver for my elder dog, Miso (13-years-old), as he deals with his rapidly deteriorating health.

I have been doing my very best to provide him with various wellness approaches (e.g. healthy meals, homeopathic remedies, wellness energy technologies) to help him deal with the troublesome symptoms he is experiencing. Today I came across a link to an article: “The Emotion  Code and a New Puppy” by Josh Nelson, TEC and TBC Certified Practitioner  on my Facebook page.

As I read it, I was reminded of how powerful the Emotion Code technique is, as my husband Jim and I have been using it periodically for a number of years now to deal with some of our own emotional issues. I wondered why we hadn’t thought of using it with Miso before now to help him deal with what he is experiencing emotionally during this difficult transition.

Jim assisted me in administering the Emotion Code process to Miso and we observed the calming impact it had on Miso. Caring for the emotional needs of our dear pet and long time friend Miso is as important as it is to deal with his physical needs. I am grateful that this article found its way on my Facebook page today.
