Tip of the Week

Aquarius is a unique and paradoxical sign. As the 11th Sign of the Zodiac, it is represented by the main Master Number in Numerology. Aquarius’s traditional ruler is Saturn and the modern ruler since its discovery in 1781 is Uranus; both still apply in various branches of Astrology. Contrary to the symbol that depicts it, The Water Bearer, Aquarius is an Air Sign. The glyph symbol for Aquarius is two parallel wavy lines, one above the other, suggestive of water, as in waves. The wavy or zigzag lines actually symbolize the principle of vibration and frequency. In turn, these symbolize the very principle of vibrational frequencies.

What is fascinating about this is that the scientific understanding of frequency and vibrational wave patterns, linked to otherwise invisible spectrums like light, radio and brain activity, some would say consciousness itself, is relatively new. Yet, the symbol is ancient. Of course, beating drums reveal vibration and as the sign of revolution, such arguments do apply. But, the archetype of Aquarius extends beyond simple physics. Archetypes by their very nature are multifaceted. Themes like innovation, invention and rebellion are linked to Aquarius, Uranus and the 11th House – which are each reflections of the same archetype. So too are themes of individuality, liberation, equality, respectful appreciation of differences and democracy. Thus it represents political processes as well. The disruptive reality of progress is also very Aquarian as are the unusual and the even though it is a ‘fixed’ sign. The term ‘paradox’ transcends linear logic and allows for apparently contradictory facts, realities, and/or laws to co-exist. This is the gift and challenge of Aquarius.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

The tide is turning. A feeling of rebellion is rising. Deep changes continue to unfold within and perhaps around you. Certain situations that once were are no longer in your control. You sense it is important to work with the situation. This requires tools, means, methods and a plan. Your sights are set on the future. You are focused to make a break for it.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Ambitions to be recognized and appreciated, at least seen and heard, are evident. Your inner voice is speaking loudly and it has an edge. As if motivated from some higher source, you feel compelled to comply. Yet, due to the consequences factor, you must exercise restraint. Exposure to art and culture will help balance the intensity.

Gemini (May 21 – June 21)

You feel the urge to explore new territory and in a variety of ways. Meeting new people and perhaps making new friends is highlighted. Your ideals are peaking and you want to realize dreams. Yet, you are also called to make certain sacrifices. Add to this some measure of confusion about where you belong in the world and the plot is outlined.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

The individuality, revolutionary attitudes and actions and/or the genius of others is drawing your attention. You are no longer a stranger to momentous change. Now you would like the flow to activate more satisfaction on relationships fronts. You are ready and willing to push, yet you must get your weight behind things, to be patient and deliberate.

Leo (July 22 – Aug 23)

The New Year is well underway and you can see the signs of renewal. Outer circumstances and/or others key players are making it clear that you need to give more somehow. Giving to family and/or to charity is possible. Yet, the call may be to give more to the realization of your dreams. If these benefit others as well then you will achieve a golden mean.

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sept 22)

Some cycles ask that we work even harder than usual, like now. Desires to diversify your business interests, services and/or income will increase this week. Taking the initiative to activate awareness and to stimulate the actions of others is important. Clarify what you and what those you are approaching want and need for best results.

Libra (Sept 22 – Oct 22)

A fun-loving and possibly romantic cycle has begun for you. Desires to be close, cozy and intimate are being stimulated. Playing with the prospects includes exchanges of thoughts and feelings. You are eager to entertain more adventurous activities. Create a setting with atmosphere to support your interests and aim for long-term results.

Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)

Shifts and changes close to home may be leaving you feeling a little unsettled. If you want to make these changes happen, then the upset will be minimal. Either way, these are stimulating adjustments in your usual routine, perhaps your overall lifestyle. At best, this presents an opportunity to make a clean break with the past. Tune-in and engage.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 – Dec 21)

The pace is quickening. As if suddenly, your days are all filled-up with communications galore! Running errands, paying visits and swinging deals has you on the go. While mixing pleasure with business may be your usual style, your mood is more sober than frivolous. Moving on and redirecting your energies towards new ambitions is ‘all the rave’.

Capricorn (Dec 21 – Jan 19)

All being well, you got a jumpstart on the year. Hopefully it was the kind you wanted. Now, phase two has begun and this includes increased communication with key power players. Directing your energies to higher causes may feel necessary, in fact fulfilling. Some of the real work includes having faith and feeling confident.

Aquarius (Jan 19 – Feb 19)

The Sun, Mercury, Mars and soon Venus (Feb.1) in your sign are activating your initiative. There is a freedom cry woven into this combination. Adventure, philosophy, foreign culture and perhaps a twist of the exotic are flooding your airwaves. This may well represent the best window you will have for a while, so take strides to ride those waves.

Pisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

Beneath it all you are a rare bird. Some may chime-in with words like unusual, enigmatic, and unpredictable. Accepting and embracing your individuality is more important than you realize. The more you do the more at peace you will feel. You just might even lay claim to a reservoir of genius that lies just beneath the surface, or at least distinct individuality.
