Columbia bridge closing for repairs
Canfor has announced that it will be temporarily closing the Columbia River Bridge near Radium Hot Springs for two weeks for repairs.
The bridge is about two km from the village on Horsethief Forest Service Road (just below Radium Mill) and is one of the four main crossings of the Columbia between Invermere and Spillimacheen. Nearest access to the Westside Road and Purcell backcountry during closures can be attained at Invermere/Wilmer and Brisco.
The bridge will be closed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Tuesday April 26, until approximately Monday, May 9.
